The Bugarabu is the African version of the ashiko drum. This traditional drum is hand-carved from a solid peace of wood. The skin is made of cow hide with the fur still on it. The sound is a deep and rich--great as a base accompaniment to the djembe. They are completely tunable. There are not too many bugarabus around, but those who have them love them.
